Christian Maier GmbH has been supplying a HUGE range of rotary joints (or rotary unions) to the paper, printing, textile and chemical industries since 1925.
Maier rotary joints connect stationary pipes with rotating systems to enable heating and cooling of the rotating system (by hot water, cold water, steam or thermal oil,) or to provide services to the rotating system (hot water, cold water, steam or thermal oil, air, electricity) such as is used on plastic roto-moulding equipment.
Rotary joints are often considered unimportant when compared to the cost of a machine or line. But they are essential components for the performance of machines in which they are installed. Critical usage configurations require theoretical and hands-on knowledge with a variety of applications.
Christian Maier has more than 50 years experience in producing rotary joint. Christian Maier produce more than 1,000 versions of standard and custom-made rotary joints, from single passage to multi passage, from DN3 (1/8″) to DN 500 (20″). An extensive laboratory established for 24 hour, 7 day a week testing is used by Christian Maier to ensure their products run well from the very beginning.
Used by manufacturers such as Heidelberg, MAN Roland, König und Bauer (Planeta, Albert Frankental), Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Goss, Windmöller & Hölscher, Comexi, Bobst, Bielloni, Nordmechanica, Kusters, Steuer, BHS, Higel Kältetechnik, Goudsche, Voith, Sandvik, Bühler, Netzsch, Lehmann, Krones and Metso (amongst many others!), Christian Maier rotary joints have an enviable reputation for value for money and reliability!
AND NOW - Sensor ready. The demand for intelligent sensors for monitoring processes is constantly increasing. As a technology leader, Christian Maier has developed sensors especially for rotary joints to monitor critical parameters as close to the process as possible. True to the motto “We don’t do half measures”, Christian Maier has developed a completely new Series DS -
Available in January 2024 - which enables a simplified integration of Maier's sensors and combines the advantages of the DP and DX series.
