Analytical Technology & Control Ltd (ATAC) manufacture the NµLine Digital Cone & Plate Viscometer, which is based upon the proven historical concept and long established analogue viscometer design of Research-Equipment London (REL).

ATAC also produce a range of on-line process viscometer systems.

The original ICI Cone and Plate was introduced in 1966 and some 8,000 have been sold for applications in the paint, resins, ink, food, pharmaceutical and bitumen industries. It is one of the simplest methods of measuring viscosity for quality and production purposes.

The modern ATAC NµLine Digital Cone and Plate Viscometer continues the original REL viscometers reputation for ease of use, reliability and durability.

NμLine Cone & Plate Viscometer

The NµLine Cone & Plate Viscometer is based on the proven concept and design of Research Equipment London’s (REL) Analogue Viscometer – The original instrument for the BS3900 standard.

With process applications in industries including paint, varnish, inks, resin, food, bitumen, oil, adhesives and pharmaceutics, the NµLine is self-calibrating and highly configurable and designed to be cost effective and robust.

Suitable for use in a production environment, operation is simple with easy navigation throughout the measurement process.

Readings can be taken at variable shear rates, with multiple speeds and temperatures (between 10°C to 230°C), and samples can be tested for 60 to 120 seconds, depending upon the material.

These instruments are used in many areas, including the oil, paint, varnish, resin, bitumen, food, ink, plastic and pharmaceutical industries.
